Dear all!

Almost half a year went by since the 19th ICCP in Cologne last summer! After several unforeseen problems during the last months, I send my belated thanks and an update especially on the planned proceedings of the congress.
First of all, I thank all of you for participation in the congress and the field trips, the excellent contributions and vivid discussions that created the inspiring atmosphere throughout these amazing summer days.

Now, we are about to update the website. In the next days you will find a photo gallery and you can save your favourite photos. We still miss photographs from the field trips to Belgium, central Germany/Thuringia, the Saar-Nahe Basin, and the Ruhr area, and ask you to send some pictures for inclusion in the gallery.
A new menue “congress proceedings”is set up to keep you up to date. The abstract and field guide volumes as well as the preprint of the report that will be published in Newsletter on Carboniferous Stratigraphy and Permophiles are free for download and distribution among interested colleagues.

The 20^th International Congress on the Carboniferous and Permian will take place in in late July 2023 in Toulouse, Southern France, organized by Markus Aretz and team. We are looking forward to see all of you again. Save the date!
